I have truly enjoyed Night Sky. It is accurate and if you love the stars, planets and constellations, you will enjoy it as much as I have.

Other similar apps work a lot better for the same price. I thought I was having trouble finding things in the free version because I needed the upgrade, turns out it is just poorly designed. Not sure what I paid for, stick with free or get one of the better apps if you are willing to pay a few dollars.

I love to be able to look at the night sky and figure out what you are looking at. I frequently use AIRPLAY and APPLE TV to watch the International space station or some other satellite whiz by.

Great app

The app works well on my iPhone 6. There are many good planetarium apps but this is my favorite so far. Each feature works well. The display updates fast with no lag as I move the iPhone. The azimuth (compass bearing) is more accurate than in other apps running on the same iPhone. I like seeing the sky at other wavelengths. I like the augmented reality mode, in which the camera view is superimposed on the display and updated about once per second. Best used in twilight because the iPhone camera is not very sensitive

New update requires you to pay for access to the light pollution map. $20 for one year when it used to be free

Bought this after being promoted by the normal version to get access to Deep Sky objects. They dont track on the screen like planets and the like do, nor do deep sky objects show up in the sky view, so far as I can tell. Without these features theres no difference between this and the normal version.
